The service for Gale was held at the Daughters of the Nile temple in Tampa and was attended by over a hundred people who obviously loved her. Mostly were her friends from the Nile, but also Dan, Ben and Valerie were there, along with cousins Melinda and husband Frank Hopkins, and Jadeene Armstrong; also Gales long time friends for over 40 years Pat and Cathy Clark were there as well as neighbors and also people who went to Dialysis with her. Dan had prepared a slide show of pictures of Gale played to the sounds of Hawaii .

These are past Queens who are performing a ritual of the white roses, each had something to say and then from the audience came a number of past Queens who also held white roses and they placed them all in the vase on the stand. They also handed to each of the family members a white rose.
This was set up in front of the podium area and the wood urn has a red carnation lei which had been flown from her old friend Margie who she visited often on Oahu, she also sent fresh orchids. The pictures is Gale as the Queen and her tiara is on the pillow. Dan and I liked having the portrait of our family there. The large potted plant to the right came from cousin Nancy and her family.

After the service the Nile ladies had a wonderful assortment of food and had many tables set up and one special table for the family of Gale.

We had lots of food and they of course insisted that we take more, so after awhile it was time to leave and we went to Dan's home. Melinda and Frank, JaDeene, Cathy and Pat, Valerie, Ben, and Dan.
Sitting around and telling old Morgan stories was lots of fun, Gales friends hadn't heard the stories before and they had some pretty good ones of Gale from years past.

After eating more we migrated to Dan's music room and with Frank on the guitar and Dan on the Drums played to good tunes, Melinda sang along to the ones she new. It was a good way to end a stressful day.
